Year 10 Practice Interviews - May 2021

On the 11^th and 12^th of May, our 200+ Year 10 students all had one to one practice interviews with volunteers from local businesses.  A big thanks to Helen and the team at Leicestershire Cares for organising and running the event and to all the volunteers who gave up their time to enable this to happen.  

Due to the current lockdown, this took place remotely via Zoom.

To facilitate this, we had students logged in on Zoom in groups of 15 at a time, sat socially distanced, in the hall.  Students had their one to one interview with a local business volunteer.  A great job by the technical team for setting up the computers and ensuring this ran smoothly.

The volunteer interviewers provided our students with some feedback at the end of each interview.  In addition, Leicestershire Cares will more formally collate the interview feedback on paper, so that we can share this with our students to reflect on.  The event was a great success and an extremely positive learning experience for our students.  We are hoping that in 2022, we will be back to face-to-face in person interviews!
