Our Exam Results

2025 Examination Performance

We are so proud of our students’ and their results this year.  2025 leavers were the year group that was the most badly affected by Covid.  With their early years at our school in bubbles, they did not get a full normal BLS experience until Year 9.  And yet they have worked their socks off and done so well.  And the best thing is that whilst doing that, they were lovely, energised, kind people too.  Teachers worked so hard to support them.  If ever there was a time when “Together we achieve success” was true, this was it!

Progress 8

Progress 8 is a measure of how students compare, across 8 key subjects, with national trends of progress. It is not available this year because students did not do their KS3 SATs due to Covid.

However our own progress tracking shows that this year group made the highest progress of any cohort.

Schools are also judged on how many students get certain combinations of grades, as follows:

5 or more strong passes (Grade 5+) incl English & maths

5 or more standard passes (Grade 4+) incl English & maths

Schools have to talk about their results as a whole as that is how we are judged but the beautiful thing about results is that they are about our students.

We are always most proud of the students who have worked hard to make the most progress during their time with us.  These students made the most progress out of their whole year group:
