The use of this funding has been very effective. Spending of Pupil Premium funding this year has had a massive impact on closing the 5+A*-C (inc Eng and Ma) attainment gap measure. This is shown by the good progress made by Pupil Premium students. Significantly more of our Pupil Premium students achieved 5 A*-C grades than is achieved nationally. Our Pupil Premium students also make significantly more progress in English and maths than is achieved by Pupil Premium students nationally.

Another key indicator is the fact that last year (13/14) our NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) student figures were 0% for those leaving Beaumont Leys School. Again this figure is much better than that achieved nationally.

However the school is determined to continue to improve provision and monitoring until there is no gap between the achievement of Pupil Premium students and the rest of the school cohort. The school has recently added a new layer of monitoring and support, both inside and outside of the classroom aimed at ensuring Pupil Premium students are fully supported at all times.
