Apprenticeship Fair 2017

Here are some photographs and feedback comments from students and the employers, from this new pioneering Apprenticeship Fair Project, offering apprenticeships to Beaumont Leys students and students from all across the city and county.

There is a boom in the availability of  top quality Apprenticeships, making this paid work based training another option for more and more young people leaving secondary school this year, or later after their college courses. For more details of live apprenticeships and their summer events to help young people after their exams,  see the Apprenticeship Hub website here in Leicester for full details.

Nineteen schools and colleges from across the city and county, sent students across to the event . Students came from as far as Brooksby College in the north to Beauchamp in the south. Many county college students attended including Lutterworth College, Martin High School, and Rawlins in Quorn. The largest numbers were from Beaumont Leys, Babbinton, Groby and Rushey Mead. These were all students, teachers and career/connexions advisers across the county had identified as having a genuine interest in apprenticeships.

Most employer sections were represented, with the Apprenticeship Training Agencies all ready with vacancies to show to interested students and for them to follow up with suggested employers throughout the summer. Most students attending had their FE/ HE conditional offers and were there to look at this expanding  method of finding their way into employment with excellent qualifications to gain whilst working.
